Poultry
We currently stock a few Light Sussex hens and black Silkies.
They free range around the grounds and happily co-exist with the ducks.
Our Silkies are quality stock from the well know breeder - Mike Goodwin, We have purchased his hens regularly from specialist auctions.
If you are interested in purchasing eggs from our black Silkies please contact us.
When they go broody we use them to hatch some of our waterfowl eggs and rear the young.
We also keep Japanese quails (Coturnix Japonica). They produce a large number of small but tasty eggs, which are consumed on a weekly basis and sold in the local farm shop.
These eggs are not fertile as we do not keep male quails.
