Our German Pekin Ducks

We have a flock of 12 German Pekin ducks.

The German standard means they have the "upright" carriage, almost like a penguin or an Indian Runner duck! And that lemon yellow tinge to their plumage.

Our small flock includes 4 unrelated males and 8 females.

Our ducks become "active" in late January and they normally start laying around 1st March till August.

We have found that fertility was beween 80 to 85% in 2011, compared to 95%+ from our Indian Runners.

We offer our eggs for hatching once they have settled into a laying routine, to ensure fertility is high and the eggs are of consistent size and shape.

Delivery is normally by mail order on a daily basis or collection by arrangement.

Like all our stock, we have purchased our Pekins from shows, specialist auctions and registered breeders, knowing that they are of good quality and where welfare standards are high.
